Season Highlights:

Bald Eagle Area 23-3 (District VI AA Champions and Mountain Athletic Conference Division 2 Champions) The Bald Eagle Area Girls Softball recently won it's third consecutive District VI AA and Mountain Athletic Conference Division 2 Championships. This is the Eagles second consecutive trip to the P.I.A.A. AA Championship game and they are looking for the school's first female state championship.  The Eagles led by Head Coach Dave Breon (47-6 in 2 seasons) leads a very experienced squad made up of 2 seniors (1 injured),5 juniors and 3 sophomores. Brittany Rees and Courtney Garner, both juniors, lead the Eagles on the mound.  Offensively the Eagles are led in batting average by lead-off hitter Danielle Noll (SS) and Brittany Rees (P). Catcher Lauryn Weaver leads the team in homeruns. On the defensive side of things the infield has been very consistent and is made up of Brittany Kilmer (First Base), Michelle Noll (Second Base), Danielle Noll (Shortstop), and Karley Riser (Third Base). The outfielders for the Eagles (Jackie Penland, Courtney Garner, and Ashley Rauch) all posses strong arms and are very aggressive. Lauryn Weaver has been consistent behind the plate and has a very strong arm to cut down any would be base stealers. Ashley McClain has been a very consistent hitter as the Eagles primary designated player. Lindsey Confer is the main pinch runner for the Eagles. Also seeing action during the season and play-offs have been Hulzie Estep, Jaysa Dixson, and Whitney Giedroc. Two players that contributed early in the season for the Eagles but had season ending knee injuries were Ashley Maney and Cara Becker.
